Emerson’s new aluminum filter regulator improves process control efficiency and simplifies supply chain

  On March 26, Emerson released the new ASCO™ 641/642/643 series aluminum alloy filter pressure reducing valves, which maximize process efficiency and reduce unexpected downtime in a wide range of process applications. This series of durable aluminum alloy filter pressure reducing valves has the best flow rate among its peers and can accurately regulate the pressure supplied to downstream equipment.

  ASCO 641/642/643 series aluminum alloy filter pressure reducing valves can replace stainless steel filter pressure reducing valves, completing Emerson's full range of valve pilot product lines. As a global technology partner, Emerson can provide manufacturers with complete valve pilot solutions, including solenoid valves, limit switches, filter pressure reducing valves and accessories.

  By focusing on one supplier, manufacturers can simplify their supply chain, improve design accuracy and obtain comprehensive engineering support. A valve pilot solution that includes technical products from different suppliers will result in unclear responsibilities and the risk of errors.

  With the highest flow rates on the market, up to 370.8 standard cubic feet per minute (10,500 liters per minute), this series of aluminum alloy filter regulators improves process control efficiency and ensures that stringent process valve opening/closing requirements, such as emergency shut-off valve requirements, are met. Higher flow provides more source media to the valve actuator, thereby increasing the opening and closing speed of the process valve. Depending on the application, slow valve closing speeds may increase safety risks.

  The rugged construction and advanced engineering design of this series of filter regulators further improve safety and maintain plant uptime, while a dedicated powder coating ensures reliable operation in harsh, corrosive process environments. Active dehumidification ensures media dryness and protects downstream equipment, while advanced media filtration prevents downstream process contamination.
