143-211-000-052 Vibration Gauge Piezoresistive Force Sensor-143-211-000-052

Specifically designed for measuring pressure pulsations and combustion dynamics in extreme environments such as gas turbine combustors, this device uses a piezoelectric crystal (VC2 type single crystal) as the sensing element and outputs a charge signal (pC/bar). It requires an external charge amplifier/signal conditioner (such as the IPC70x series).

  1. Core Functions

Dynamic Pressure Pulsation Measurement: Specifically designed for measuring pressure pulsations and combustion dynamics in extreme environments such as gas turbine combustors.

Long-Term Online Monitoring: Designed for 24/7 long-term deployment, not for short-term laboratory testing.

Charge Output Type: Uses a piezoelectric crystal (VC2 type single crystal) as the sensing element, outputting a charge signal (pC/bar). Requires an external charge amplifier/signal conditioner (such as the IPC70x series).

  2. Working Principle

Utilizing the piezoelectric effect: Pressure pulsations act on the sensitive diaphragm, transmitting the signal to the piezoelectric crystal. Under dynamic stress, the crystal generates a charge output proportional to the pressure change. Because piezoelectric crystals can only respond to dynamic/alternating pressure and cannot measure static pressure, this series is specifically designed for dynamic scenarios such as pressure pulsation and combustion oscillation.

  3. Macroscopic Role in Industrial Applications

In combustion equipment such as gas turbines, aero engines, and industrial boilers, unstable combustion (thermoacoustic oscillation) can lead to increased pressure pulsation. This can result in reduced efficiency and increased emissions, or even damage to combustion chamber hardware and shutdown. The functions of the CP series sensors are:

To capture the frequency and amplitude of combustion chamber pressure pulsations in real time

To provide raw dynamic signals for combustion monitoring systems (CMS)/vibration monitoring systems

To support active combustion control (ABC), fault warning, and life assessment

  4. Common Design Features

Mineral-insulated cable (MI Cable): Integrated high-temperature resistant cable, adaptable to extreme temperature environments

Explosion-proof certification: ATEX / IECEx explosion-proof certifications (Ex ia / Ex ib / Ex nA), suitable for use in hazardous areas

Low acceleration sensitivity: Special design minimizes the interference of mechanical vibration on pressure measurement (e.g., CP103 uses acceleration compensation design)

Multiple connector options: High-temperature connector or LEMO connector
